Finally a change in the MLS reporting system that makes sense. The above link outlines the improvement to the reporting of Under Agreement properties so that buyers who are searching for listings on the internet that are available won't be mislead.
A little more truth telling is always a good thing! I wonder if that will help with sites like Zillow and Trulia.
I too was so happy that they are making this change, I just hope the agents don't hold off on putting the property under agreement when they get a signed offer.
James, on one hand, I believe, this will make our MLS 'clean' and on other hand, I do see the same thing happening with 'UAG' flag! (I have come across many many cases where an inspection is going when I show the homes to my buyers - and the status is NOT flagged! Now that may be extended to 'UAG')
