One of May's Great contests, Print Campaigns - An AR Contest invites us to express our opinion on print campaigns and whether they still have a valid position in our advertising budget, so here we go.
Print campaigns seem to be a thing of the past and I am sure that this is not what many of our printer friends want to hear, but this is the reality of today's real estate market.
In an era of TECHNOLOGY where over 90% of the real estate shopper begins their search on the internet, this is the place where HE WITH THE COOLEST DIGITAL TECHNOLOGY wins the client!
You see, it is simply a NUMBERS GAME! You get enough to call you and assuming you have the scripts, training and personality to convert them, you will convert and subsequently close the most customers.

He teaches all his agents that we have the greatest TECHNOLOGY tools for a reason. However, I must say that when I am farming for listings in the past, personal letters whether typed and signed or hand written always got me great results.
As for postcards, I think that JUST SOLD seem to do okay in a seller's market where the one thing that sellers want to see is what is selling and for how much.
I will say that with all the creative online tools we have, I can do EVERY type of print campaign digitally now like postcards, thank you cards, brochures, flyers, and literally anything. And I agree that digitally is HOW THE WORLD shops for Real Estate today.
So I am torn on this. I personally can say I have gotten folks 2 to 3 years later after mailing letters call me so they are keeping them, but on the other hand, I am not doing this currently as I am too busy from the internet leads and it is more important to get daily results from my internet marketing or slower more reliable conversions from folks who call me because of the mailers?
I think I like the daily internet leads and then it is all about conversion and with a super low advertising budget, and record breaking annual sales 4 years running, I think I have mastered the conversion process, so thank you Gary Keller for sharing your model, your vision, your books, and your teachings and for hiring the right talent that shares your vision with us daily.
