You’ll love the Love Lavender Festival, May 25-26 on the lavender farm at 1407 Lone Oak Road.
The Love Lavender Festival that was fun in downtown Jonesborough last year will be even better this year . It will be held in the lavender fields at the historic property at 1407 Lone Oak Road, Johnson City, on Saturday, May 25 (8-5) and Sunday, May 26, noon to 5. This property is jus past the intersection of Lone Oak and Greenwood.
Hosts of the festival are Allison and Ken Gilliam, owners of the great old house and the lavender farm.
Allison’s lavender store at 105 ½ Fox Street, left from Main Street in Jonesborough, is a delight to the eyes as well as the nose. If you haven’t been there, you can’t imagine how many interesting lavender products are available.
The brochure she gave me mentions the following attractions:

Cooking with Lavender
Medicinal uses of lavender
Historical uses of lavender
You’ll also have a chance to try delicious foods prepared with lavender.
The lavender wands I bought last year are still smelling sweet and there will be a lot of other things to enjoy, learn, buy.
