Karen and Art Kruschka, write a lot of posts on Prince William County and do a great job on their localism posts. As noted in this one on the National Museum of the Marine Corps. Check out the video of the museum as well as the Semper Fidelis Memorial Chapel and enjoy the music by the U.S. Marine Band.

Opened symbolically on November 10, 2006. The National Museum Of The Marine Corps currently houses artifacts portraying the history of the US Marines from November 10, 1775 to the present day. The museum is a 120,000 square foot state-of-the-art interactive building that captivates visitors. Quantico Marines served as models for the mannequins plus full scale equipment is used in the displays. It is rapidly becoming one of the premier visitor destinations in Prince William County and Northern Virginia.

World War II F4U Fighter
Over the past year my husband and I have made numerous trips to the National Museum Of The Marine Corps with our camera. We have chosen 50 photos for a slide show that we believe will give you a representative view of the major campaign exhibits hoping it will encourage you to visit Prince William County's newest, most exciting museum.

The slide show takes less than three minutes with "Semper Fidelis" played by the United States Marine Band.

Semper Fidelis Chapel

In addition to the National Museum Of The Marine Corps the 135 acre Marine Corps Heritage Center is also home to the newly (2009) opened Semper Fidelis Memorial Chapel. This link includes a 45 second slide show we made of the chapel. The road to it is to your left as soon as you enter the Heritage Center from the Jefferson Davis Highway (US1) just south of the main entrance to Quantico Marine Corps Base in Triangle VA. You would be remiss not to allow the additional time necessary to visit the chapel.
