Winter Haven FL - Legoland Florida Opened Its Water Park
When Legoland Florida in Winter Haven opened up the water park in March 2013, the temperature was a bit chilly for Florida residents. Central Florida's temperature is in the high 80s to mid 90s and it is absolutely one of the best places to be with your kids this summer.
As you enter the water park you will be greeted by a 15-foot mermaid located outside the entrance to the park. Families entering Legoland Water Park will encounter Moby Dick which is made out of 200,879 Lego Duplo bricks as well as a display of waves and sharks along the 583,000 gallon wave pool.
Legoland Water Park features a wave pool where families can catch a gentle wave or simply just cool off, or enter the Twin Chasers where you ride tubes 375 feet down an intertwining pair of enclosed water slides before dipping into a refreshing pool below.
If you are seeking the thrill of a 60-foot drop then the "Splash Out" may do the trick as you ascend to the tallest point of the water park and choose one of the three unique slides available speeding down into the water below.
Fun and interactive playground for all members of the family, the "Joker Soaker" wade in the surrounding pool and be surprised with a torrential spill from the 300-gallon bucket.
Enjoy and relax the 1000 foot long lazy river....but use your imagination first as you design and build your unique LEGO vessel. As you begin you maiden voyage, you will see the beautiful park which its picturesque flowering vegetation and palm trees.
Legoland also thought of it's youngest patrons - kids under 5 years of age as they created "DUPLO Splash Safari". Kids rule the water play area with slides and interactive, larger-than-life DUPLO creatures.
