Health Insurance for Real Estate Agents - Agents Please Help...

By
Real Estate Broker/Owner with WERTH REALTY

Hello,

Well, as Realtors we certainly have some things we need help being independent employees for ourselves.  My Brokerage does not offer Health Insurance as most do not, and I was wondering if anyone knows of some great companies out there and or with good benefits.  I just turned a premium age according to my provider and now my insurance went up for that and adjusted 2 months ago for whatever reason they tried to jam down my throat.

So with that said, fire away everyone, I am excited to learn of any new programs, or companies out there.  I want to get established before 2014 and the new changes and penalties start kicking in for everyone.  Trying to be very proactive about getting health insurance from the best resource at the lowest cost.  Thanks everyone!!!  Fire away

We got an individual policy from Golden Rule (A United Healthcare company) a few years back but it has gone up about 60% in three years!  And that's with a fairly high deductible.  Blue Cross/Blue Shield wouldn't insure us because of pre-existing conditions (nothing major) - anxious to see if that will improve with the new plans or just get worse.  Good luck in your search.
