Birmingham, Michigan - Okay this is the news I heard and everyone chime in if you agree. Last week I got this email from a search engine news source that BING is now able to communicate to Suri -- the voice activated search tool that was used on Iphones. Now the preferred search engine connected to this popular tool is noneother than BING.
Bing is kind of an odd choice when it comes to working with the Apple based Suri but that is just my opinion. Usually Google gets the top billing for anything connected with the iphone. But Bing.com was recently featured in the commercial, BING IT ON and according to the research people actually preferred Bing as opposed to Google when it comes to search engine results. This is interesting to me because now smart phones can connect with BING directly through the Suri program.
Bing -- for the tech people out there - is actually easier to rank on than Google. Now that depends on what you are trying to rank on there for exactly but for the most part BING is much easier. This is going to change the game up quite a bit for people who are serious about getting their real estate listings posted on the first page of Bing.com. This is a straight connection and Bing is a text book model of a search engine -- there is no nonsense there. Google on the other hand has a lot of internal criteria that it needs for a company to become visible on the search engine results, (SERPS). Some of that criteria is determined on whether or not the web site owner is using Google tools to promote and communication tools.
There is more that is going to happen in the next few months.... but it is important to be aware of it.
