Summer Fun at Three Rivers State Park

Summer is just around the corner and the wildlife at Three Rivers have been very active, so bring a camera for some beautiful shots of both the flora and fauna. White-tailed deer and fox squirrels are commonly seen along the park drive.

Three Rivers has thirty campsites and one cabin situated right on the edge of Lake Seminole. Campsites with water, electricity and fire rings are $16.00 per night plus tax. The cabin sleeps four and includes one bedroom, a loft, bathroom, dining room, kitchenette, fireplace and a screened porch. It is for $65.00 per night plus tax.

In addition to family camping, the park also has a youth/group camping area. This semi/primitive camping area is divided into two camping areas with a bathhouse in the center. 

Whether at the campground or while visiting the day use area, visitors have many activities to choose from at the park. For a nice relaxing day, pack a picnic and enjoy lunch under a covered pavilion overlooking Lake Seminole, then let the kids play on the playground.

For a great day outside, bring a fishing pole or take a leisurely walk on a nature trail. Need to get some exercise? Bring your bike and ride through the park or rent a canoe and paddle around the lake.

The park also offers pavilion space to rent for family gatherings, reunions, birthdays, weddings and other events.

Admission Fee: 

$3.00 per vehicle. Please use the honor box to pay fees. Correct change is required. Limit 8 people per vehicle.

 $2.00 Pedestrians, bicyclists, extra passengers, passengers in vehicle with holder of Annual Individual Entrance Pass.

 Camping Fee:

 $16.00 per night, plus tax. Includes water and electricity. Florida residents who are 65 years of age or older or who hold a social security disability award certificate or a 100 percent disability award certificate from the Federal Government are permitted to receive a 50 percent discount on current base campsite fees. Cabin Fees:

 $65.00 plus tax, per night.

Picnic Pavilion Fees:

 $30.00 per day, plus tax: Seats 30 to 60 people. Water and electric are available. The pavilion overlooks Lake Seminole.

 

Activities at Three Rivers State Park

 

 

	Bicycling There are over 7 miles of trails and paved roads in the park for bicyclists to enjoy (semi-rough terrain with moderate elevation changes).
	Boat Ramp There are two small boat ramps within the park, suitable for smaller watercraft. One ramp is located within the campground, for use by registered campers only. The other ramp is located close to the picnic area, for general use by park visitors. There are also two county-maintained boat ramps that will accommodate larger craft; one of these ramps is found on the eastern boundary of the park, the other is found on the western boundary of the park.
	Boating Three Rivers State Park borders on scenic Lake Seminole. The lake tends to be shallow in many areas, with considerable aquatic vegetation. Old tree stumps also are found throughout the lake. We find most of our seasoned boaters prefer shallow draft boats for these reasons.
	Cabins A one bedroom, one bathroom log cabin with air conditioning, heating and a wood-burning fireplace overlooks Lake Seminole. A queen size bed in a downstairs bedroom and a queen size bed in the loft provide comfortable sleeping accommodations. A fully equipped kitchen includes an electric stove, microwave, refrigerator and utensils. Bring linens, pillows, food and fishing gear. For the guest's relaxation, televisions and phones are not provided. Reservations may be made up to 11 months in advance through ReserveAmerica. There is a minimum two nights stay in cabins on weekends and holidays, either Friday and Saturday night, or Saturday and Sunday nights. 	Camping, Full Facility Both Florida and Georgia are in view from the park's campground located near the banks of Lake Seminole. Water, electricity, a picnic table and a grill ring are available at each of 30 shaded, semi-private campsites. Pets are welcome at the campsites. Restrooms are located in the park. A dump station is located near the camping area. The campground includes a small boat ramp and a large fishing pier that extends out onto Lake Seminole. Maximum RV length = 42 ft. 	Camping, Youth The Group Camp 2 sites available. Amenities include two group size grills and a large brick restroom with several showers, toilets and sinks. No pets are allowed. Call the park at (850) 482-9006 to make reservations.
	Canoeing & Kayaking Lake Seminole provides an excellent venue for canoeing and kayaking. Aluminum canoes can be rented by campers at the park for $15 per day. Life preservers and paddles are provided.
	Fishing Fishing is a popular activity at the park since Lake Seminole is well-known for its yields. Largemouth and smallmouth bass, catfish, bluegill, speckled perch, and bream are some of the fish that might be landed by anglers. A Florida freshwater fishing license may be required.
	Hiking/Nature Trail Trail users can travel the rolling hills of our upland pine habitat and along the shoreline of Lake Seminole.  There are 4-self guided nature trails providing 5-miles of hiking pleasure.  All trails are accessible from both the picnic/day-use and camping areas.  In addition, there are over 7-miles of trails and paved roads for bicyclists.  Because of terrain and elevation, helmets are suggested and/or required.
	Pets Pets are welcome at the park as long as they are kept on a six-foot leash and are well behaved. Pets are also allowed to stay in the campground under the same guidelines. NOTE: Sorry, pets are NOT allowed to stay in the cabin. Please pick up after your pet and do not allow them to run free or bark incessantly.
	Picnic Pavilion There are three picnic pavilions (open air) located in the park picnic area. Each of these pavilions can be reserved for $30 plus tax by calling the park at 850-482-9006. Pavilions can be used without a reservation on a first-come, first-served basis.
	Picnicking A large picnic area in the park overlooks Lake Seminole, providing spectacular views of the lake, and the Georgia shoreline on the opposite side of the lake. Three picnic pavilions, grills, picnic tables, and a restroom are located in the picnic area. A hiking trail also begins in the picnic area. A small fishing dock is also located in this area
	Playground There is a playground within the park, which has state of the art equipment and benches to sit on.
	Swimming NO SWIMMING AREAS ARE DESIGNATED OR ALLOWED IN THE PARK.
	Wildlife Viewing Wildlife and bird viewing opportunities are bountiful at Three Rivers State Park! Bald Eagles make their nests within the park, and can be seen soaring over the lake. Waterfowl by the hundreds seek refuge in the quiet bays and sloughs that surround the park. Deer are a very common sight, along with the ubiquitous raccoon and our own population of eastern fox squirrels. These large squirrels are a sight to behold, with silvery white fur, often with a mask of black covering their faces. Many species of rare or uncommon plants can also be found throughout the park. Three Rivers is part of the Great Florida Birding Trail!  Bird blinds, binoculars, and reference books are available upon request. Alligators are visible and present during the warm weather months.
