Have you wanted to live in beautiful Tierrasanta? Have you noticed how great the continuity is in this community? Tierrasanta was officially established in 1971 and in 1982 became the first masterplanned community in the area after the city purchased it from the military in 1961.
I remember when I was young, horseback riding on the top of the hill where Tierrasanta sits today! We went horseback riding by the hour, so there must have been a stable somewhere my dad knew about. The land belonged to the Mission San Diego de Alcala ranch and there were no homes there! It was open and rural and had a view overlooking the San Diego river and Mission Valley long before Mission Valley became the shopping metropolis it is today!
