Must Have iPad App – Printer Pro

One of the shortfalls for having an iPad is you can’t print from your iPad unless you have an Air Printer. For those who don’t have an Air Printer, I have been using an app called Printer Pro.

Printer Pro allows you to print wirelessly via Wi-Fi or to any printer connected to your PC or Mac. You do require an additional free program installed on your desktop. Print PDF documents, emails, photos, etc. directly from your iPad.

There is a charge for the program, but they do provide a free Printer Pro Lite version to check out the functionality and to make sure it works with your printer. I’ve printed PDF documents from my iPad, photos from Dropbox, and notes from Evernote.

Here are some of the supported formats: PDF, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Pages, Numbers, Keynote, TXT, HTML, JPG, Safari webarchive. Check out the free Lite version first, because some apps aren’t supported yet.

To print from Printer Pro, choose “Open In” in your app, select the Printer Pro icon and “Print”. The document will print to your selected printer.

The Printer Pro app is easy to use and you will now be able to print to your desktop printer.

Debbie: If you have access to air printers, you won't need this app. My color laser printer is wireless, but not an air printer. The app works for me. Thanks for the visit.
