Have you changed the locks on your house?

By
Real Estate Agent with Realty Executives Associates

When was the last time you changed the locks on your house?

How many people have had access to your house in the last 5 years.  How many spare keys do you think are out there?

I always advise my clients to change the locks on their doors as soon as possible.  Top priority #1.  This is a huge safety issue.  A person never knows how many keys have been made to get into your home.

So stay safe and get your locks changed.

Have a Fabulous Real Estate Day!!!!

That is so important.  I like to give a gift certificate to a home store and tell my clients to go purchase new locks after closing.

We don't lock doors.  We don't need or cary tasers either! Some one wants to get that bad, a cinderblock and a window would be no match.  Kinda protected up here in the right hand corner of the road! Good advice Anona!

I agree. Especially with new construction where many subs have had access to the key.

No locks changed, but I keep plenty of fresh ammunition around.

If the owner is one that has purchased an existing home from another owner, the changing of locks should be a priority. Also, every time a tenant leaves a property!

Matt,  Thank you.

Andrew,  It's that safe there, or that secluded?

Melina,  New construction, another great reason.
