Not trying to start any controversy here but, my entire life I've always stood and placed my hand over my heart during the Pledge of Allegiance but was never formally taught to place my hand over my heart during the singing of the Star Spangled Banner.  I've also noticed since your post (which I read a number of days ago) that if you watch a lot of sporting events (which I do) during the singing of the Star Spangled Banner a lot of people stand and sing but don't always put there hand over their heart.  Does this show disrespect?  Curiosity has gotten the best of me that is why I am commenting here, wanting to know what others think or have been taught.  I'm not defending Barak just wondering too are we being too critical?   Would love to hear your comments. 

For me I will also vote for Huckabee if he's still around in November.

Have you seen the picture of Obama in his turban while visiting his home land? MOST Muslims don't say the pledge, arent they the ones who wanted the schools to give the pledge up?

I have seen the same thing, however I'm sure you would agree that if you were running for public office and you were not only in public but up on a stage you would most probably place your hand on your heart and sing too.

He appears to have some Americans in a trance with his speeches, but I have also wondered where he came from all of a sudden.  It is a real concern...especially seeing people in his audience in tears because they are in awe of him.

Okay people, you're getting totally paranoid. This was at the annual Harkin steak fry in Iowa.  I have friends who were there.   (Yes I'm from Iowa)  This was the national anthem.  No you don't have to have your hand over your heart (watch videos of George Bush, he doesn't do it either.)  The rule is to stand respectfully.  He was very respectful and there was another flag being presented, not just the one behind them.  This has nothing to do with the pledge of allegiance which wasn't even recited at the event.

If you choose to dislike Senator Obama's politics, do so out of intelligence, not out of fear of untruths put out by unnamed sources.  I had so hoped that people on this forum would be smarter than this.  I had no idea an African American, Harvard graduate, born in Hawaii who worked for community rights would be so threatening to so many people.  Please people.  Get a grip!  This is to important to fall into those traps.  Research all of the candidates and make your choice based on knowledge.

Barack Hussein Obama Jr. or "Obama Osama" as Ted Kennedy has referred to him, is clearly a racist.  He belongs to a black separatist church.  He is supportive of race based quotas.  He, like Hillary is a socialist.  He is pandering to the Sodomites and blaspheming God and twisting the scriptures for his promotion of Sodomite policies and idea.

As a white man, I don't need a black racist for my president based on this FACT alone and I would refuse to vote for any racist for that matter.

Although, Michelle Obama is not running for office.  The First lady is an important figure and the closest person to the president.  I would question the man's convictions when his wife has clearly been anti America until about a week ago.  I would not for for him based on this FACT alone.

Anti Defense.  He is for an immediate withdrawal from Iraq.  This move has been warned against by all of our military leaders.  I would not vote for in based on this FACT alone.

Negotiating with terrorists. He has said he would negotiate with terrorists.  I would not vote for him based on this FACT alone.

Ties to Rezko.  I would not vote for him based on this FACT alone.

Where did the 55 million dollars in campaign donations to Obama's campaign in February come from? I would not vote for him based on this FACT alone.

I know this was a waste of bandwidth to comment to you.  You obviously have been caught up in the Obamamania frenzy thereby throwing all logic and reason to the wind.  I commented to you to promote our readership to do their own research.
