"Family Ties" on "24"

This week we enjoyed becoming better acquainted with the Bauer Bunch.

There's Father Phillip, the Grand Patriarch and President of yet another less-than-reputable, bungling government contractor. Seriously, even the Domino's delivery boy could've done a better job of getting the nukes to the right place!

And of course, there's Brother's Grimm "Graem" Bauer, who looks rather dashing sporting a Glad Bag. This week, he finally decides to spill the beans and "put all the cards on the table." In other words, everything bad that has happened to Jack, from Season 5 to now, is all "his" fault!

Here's my season's end prediction: Jack kills Graem, marries his wife, Marilyn (a past flame), and raises their son, Josh, who is really Jack's son anyway!

Okay, so this would be the time in the season when we start to cast our votes on who is dirty at CTU. In every season since its inception, someone within CTU has been compromised and is working for the "other" side.

So who is it this season?

An early favorite for many is Nadia Yassar, Associate Special Agent-in-charge. She's of middle eastern descent, after all. Poor Milo will be considered a primary "mole" suspect because he allowed Nadia to log on with his access code.

What's YOUR guess?

And Mr. "Ally McBeal/Ghostbuster" weasels Karen into leaving. He gets MY vote for Top Ten Guys you just wanna slap around!

Quote of the Week: (from Graem, as his henchmen load Phillip & Jack into the panel van) "Call Me when you're done!"

Sometimes, the previews for next week's episode can be just as exciting as the hour-long show. Here's a couple of quick observations from this week's preview:

Did you notice who will be appearing in the 12:00PM to 1:00PM time slot? Mr. Jim Jones himself, Powers Booth. You just KNOW that his character isn't going to be a very nice guy!

And I loved Jack's parting words as he has Brother Dearest back in the torture chair: "You will experience pain I can't even describe!"

Now THERE is some serious pain!!!

I don't think it's Chloe or Morris. Morris already lost Chloe once and she's taken him back... and I just love his accent.  I don't think there are any issues between Morris and Milo anymore since Chloe set them straight and told them to grow up.

I don't care for Nadia.  She seems to just be in the way as Chloe can do everyone's work in less than  half the time it takes all the others to do it.  I do agree that Milo will be accused because he logged her in with his codes.  I think the operative is someone that we haven't been introduced to yet...

You didn't even acknowledge Karen's resignation and that twirp (sp?) that is holding names over her head.  She's going to be back at CTU and kicking arse!!

Rich -I have to agree with you - i think Nadia wil be the mole and Milo is gonna get caught in the middle b/c he  logged her in with his PW. I like that we know Jack  will get free - I just can't wait to se how -Will he play vampire again?!!!! And yes, I think Graem will be pleading for death before Jack gets thru with him!!!

Ravi - I don't think it's Morris. We might see him get put out into the field at some point, and almost get killed. But I don't he's dirty. He would face the fury of Chloe if he was!

Donna - Nadia just seems too obvious, but she does have potential. You're right about the Twirp. I've inserted your point. Thanks!

We all know the President's right hand man Thomas Lennox is up to something. (Peter MacNicol). I thought after last weeks episode, not this last episode, there was a phone conversation he had with someone on an airplane. My thoughts are maybe the Vice-President or someone real high up. He is taking orders from someone.

As for a mole on the inside I thought Morris from the get go and I think Nadia may be too obvious. They tell you she is from Middle Eastern descent and that could be why she is too. Who knows...

What's going to happen to Karen Hayes when she goes back to CTU and will Bill take it lightly? Won't Bill get a little curious why she left the White House? Will she tell him what is going on with Lennox?

I was bummed to find out that the terrorist suspects at the concentration camp were not part of the plot. I knew something was going to happen to Walid al-Rezani they just beat him up. I thought last week they would have killed him. Oh well...

I was glad Jack's father wasn't really involved but it sure did shed some light on Graem. I lik eth epreviews fo rnext week. Looks like it will be actioned packed as usual.

Thanks Jay

Jay - some great food for thought. Powers Booth, the guy in the airplane spouting orders to Lennox, is no doubt the VP and up to no good. I agree that Nadia is too obvious. This show rarely goes with the obvious. And I don't think we've seen the last of the boys at the concentration camp. I wonder if Walid isn't "dirty?"

Do you think Jack's Dad gets whacked next week? That would explain why he's so upset with Graem.

Powers Booth I didn't recognize. I should record the show and watch it twice. Because, we usually sit and watch and surf AR on our laptops in our easy chairs. I sometimes miss a little bit of a scene and have to ask Monika if she saw it. Of course she missed it too and then I have to pay real close attention. It is a real stressful show.

I think you might be right about Walid. He shows us how good he is and forthright. But, don't forget the Feds went in there to investigate his company. Maybe he wormed his way into Sandra Palmer's heart so he could probably fly under the radar so to speak with the Feds as he has her as his Atty. and it looks like she likes him a lot too.

I don't think they whack dad next week. He is a great actor and he needs to be around a while. I think Jack is upset with Graem because of what Gream said this past Monday right before they shoved them in the van. I wonder if Jack also finds out that Graem is behind the nuke sale to Fayed.

I wonder when they will bring Graem's wife back in. There must be more to her than meets the eye so far.

I feel bad for Karen Hayes. I think she'll spill her guts to Bill and they will get suspicious of Lennox and Palmer will waffle back and forth on whether to believe them or not until it is just about almost too late. Then Jack will jump in and save the hour, minute or second.

I'll keep thinking of more scenarios.

Looks like a lot of people fell off the 24 train. What happened to KK, Linda Davis and the AR members that first commented awhile ago?

We all agreed at our house that this week was a bit of a "pause"... good job here Rich, and everyone.

Having to watch one hour at a time is brutal!  I'd rather watch two or three at a time ;-)

This year's CTU mole can't be the new girl... didn't Milo say she was "a registered Republican"?  LOL

Bill - my daughter had the same observation. Kind of a "pause" episode. I guess it can't be 'NON-STOP" all the time!

Jay - I agree. Where the HECK is everyone???...Do we need to send Jack out to give them some Bauer-style motivation???

Send them a message "Don't make me do this"..... LOL

Bill, there will be another 2 hour episode soon... I wish they would come out with the year long DVD at the start of the season. I could stay up for 24 hours and watch the whole thing and try to break jay Thompson's comment record.  :-)
