Sleepless in Seattle (10th Anniversary Edition)

Tonight I decided to take my wife on a weekend getaway to Seattle. I got inspired by watching a show on the food network"Giada's weekend getaway". She visited Seattle and I thought since I've never visited this place I should go. So, it's about 1am in the morning and I'm not sleeping but blogging. Go figure...

So being a Realtor in California, I naturally will look at the real estate here in Seattle. I always wanted to invest in real estate out here, but never had the inside scoop. Does anybody out there know the Seattle market well enough to let me know where to look(neighborhood) while i'm here for the weekend?

Visiting Seattle

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. If not real estate, then just some really good restaurants to visit!!!

Have a wonderful weekend everyone!!!

Max, I wish I could help you but I have only been to Seattle once quite a few years ago.  However, I wanted to tell you I enjoyed your post this morning because you were up blogging... I can relate!  Hope you get some great tips from your AR friends this morning.

Max,

I hope we'll have some nice weather for you because when it's nice in Seattle it's gorgeous. I moved here from Huntington Beach 20 years ago and I've never looked back

I may be prejudiced but I love Ballard. It's just north of the ship canal about 10 minutes from the middle of town. Ballard's like it's own little city within a bigger city. We have some of the best shopping and restaurants in a city that has no shortage of great places to shop and eat.

Volterra's my favorite but check out my blog, I just wrote about 2 other places that are terrific too. I hope you have a lovely romantic weekend and if you have any questions don't hesitate to give me a call.

Max, the state of Washington has some of the most "stable" values in real estate across the country.

Hi Kim,

Your recommandation of the underground tour was wonderful. I learned so much of Seattle in the course of 1 hour of the tour. Thank you for the great tip!

Hey Max! I know nothing about the RE there but I do know you sound more like a Texas boy saying, "go figure." How funny! I hope you have a wonderful time there. Later in the rain~Deb

Hi max,

I have been living and selling re in Seattle for the last two years. Closer to downtown does best, so belltown, queen anne, first hill are all great locations to invest in. Have fun!!!
