My 100th blog post, and I am so excited to tell you about this one!

Real Estate Agent with Re/Max Realty Group

This is my 100th blog post!

Bill Somerset's 100th blog post

I'm excited to write this post.  This has been a truly amazing week for me.  My week consisted with much of the normal things that I have been doing for the past 6 months, days in the office, and evenings at the hockey rink.  For those of you who have read my blog,  You know that my life is hockey for much of the year!  You can read about it in past posts such as:

So, this is what happened to me on Thursday.  I brought my son to the rink for a 5 p.m. practice.  Normally I am on the ice skating with them, but today I decided to stay out and just talk to everyone.  Another parent from a different league came over and started talking.  We discussed some advertising options to explore and different things for my business.  I decided to advertise in a program for a Bruins alumni game and walked out to her car with her to pick up the information.  On the way we discussed my market areas and business in general.  Me, being the inquisitive person that I am, asked her why she had such an interest in me and my business.  SHE TOLD ME THAT SHE AND HER BUSINESS PARTNER ARE DEVELOPING A 300+ ACRE SITE WITH OVER 100 HOME SITES AND WERE INTERESTED IN TALKING TO ME!

excited

WOW! Did I really just hear what I thought I heard?  I tried to play cool, but I don't think there is any way to hold back excitement when you hear something like this.  Could this be the break I've been searching for?

Friday came along, I was in my office Century 21 Central Falls Realty, extra early, putting together my marketing package.  I drove to the site, met with her and had a chance to view 1 of the 2 spec. homes.  Amazing site, amazing homes, and honestly an amazing opportunity for me!               I have a second appointment and meeting next week to discuss me and what I can do for them.  I can't wait!

It's true, hard work and determination will pay off in the long run.  I am confident in my abilities and need to express this to them.  I guess next week I will let you know how things go with the second appointment.

Thanks for taking the time to read my Bill Somerset's 100th blog post

Bill, what a great story and it's yet another example of how networking and being willing to talk about what you do in the private sector pays off. Too many agents try to stay the "secret agent" and will never be exposed to many opportunities. Best of luck to you and congrats on your 100th post!

Way To Go! Congratulations!  Not only for attaining your 100TH Blog Post, but for the potential listings from your contact, while at the rink!  Likely as not, the developer will be working with multiple builders, so now you have an insider's edge to making contact with builders as well.

Good Work! I hope it works out well for you!
