HELP!!! I can't receive messages to my Outlook...

It has been working fine. Then suddenly it cannot receive e-mail. It stops at my work webmail.

I can send messages fine but i just cannot receive! :(

Someone please help me.....

The problem is with your local server.  You need to have your IT people check what's causing it.  One other thing to try first is to delete your email settings, but before you do that, write down everything that's there now, go thorugh all pages by clicking on Advanced Settings, and be sure to check each tab and write down what's there now.  Then delete them.  After you have done that make a new email account and fill in everything as it had been before.  Test the account settings with the button but don't do that until you've completed the advanced settings information.  It you still don't get email then the problem must be with your company's servers.

Wow, deleting the settings will not solve any connectivity issues, and this is almost certainly a connectivity issue.  This is really a last resort fix.  Check to see that you have connectivity to the internet, no internet then check the cords/wireless/run repair on the connection setting.  No fix, Then check your personal firewall settings and make sure the port SMTP (port 25 is open), No fix, then run a virus scan on the machine.

A real difinitive but slightly geeky way to find if you can connect to mail is to go to the RUN --> Type "CMD" A DOS like window will open  then type "telnet smtp.yourdomain.com 25" if you get "Could not open connection" then you need to look at your connection settings.
