Congradulations to Lake Carolina Elementary in Northeast Columbia. The Richland 2 school has been named as one of the four elementary schools winners of the 2008 Carolina First Palmetto's Finest competition.
The award was given March 3rd at Columbia's Koger Center. Schools had to progress through an intensive application process requiring self-evaluation, peer review, and on-site examination. When all was said and done, Lake Carolina elementary was left standing as one of the finest. So, to all the teachers, faculty, students, and parents, congratulations once again for your award.
