Real Estate Agent with Century 21 Select Properties

One of the best words in sales in the word "NEXT". Today I had a deal fall through after a counter offer of only $500. I have to choices of what to do:

I can sit around and be mad at the buyer or my seller

Or I can say "NEXT" and move on and find the right buyer for the listing.

That is one of the hardest things to do in sales of any kind but especially in real estate because you spend so much time,effort, and FUEL trying to put a deal together. It took me a while to figure that out but after a few years of selling cars it has become my credo.

So don't dispair and be ready for the NEXT one!

Jimmy that really does suck but if the arguement was over $500 I would possibly give up the $500 myself to get the deal to work. But it's sad how stupid things and small amounts are the difference in someone owning their dream home and someone else moving on.

The buyer's agent and I already gave up 1% and agreed to split the home warranty and sellers repairs. We were just tapped out.

Great post...I completely agree!

And I would also agree with you that there's a case to be made for Dwight Howard for MVP :-) Although I can also understand those people who think Chris Paul deserves it...but as long as Lebron doesn't end up with it, I won't complain too much!

Thanks for the reminder. Last week I had two deals bust in one day. Not a thing I could have done to prevent either but it's tough to remember NEXT.
