Marc Lewis is the founder and owner.  Marc is a graduate of Plano East Senior High.  He earned a BBA from Southern Methodist University in 1992, a JD (Juris Doctor) from Southern Methodist University School of Law in 1995, and a LLM (Masters of Laws in Taxation) from the University of Miami School of Law in 1996.  He was enrolled to practice before the IRS by the Department of Treasury in 1999. 

Marc is a sixth generation resident of Collin County and comes from a long line of self-employed family members including his parents and both sets of grandparents.  He and his wife Stephanie and two daughters (Meredith and Morgan) currently reside in Murphy. 

Marc has been a Rotarian for over a decade and he has long served on the Board of Directors of two large Plano based charities: Plano Sports Authority and The Plano Balloon Festival.  Marc is currently the president of the North Texas Collegiate Baseball Umpires Association and he is the National Umpire Advisor to the American Amateur Baseball Congress which oversees multiple youth leagues throughout the country.  In his 27 years of umpiring, he has worked multiple post season assignments for the NCAA and NJCAA and has also worked multiple other post season assignments for other amateur associations.  Currently, he is on staff  for Conference-USA, The Mountain West Conference, and The Western Athletic Conference.

Stephanie Vorndran Office Manager svorndran@jmlewisandassociates.com

Stephanie joined the firm as office manager in August of 2007.  She is the grease that keeps the business running smoothly.  All who deal with her can attest to her efficiency and pleasant manner.  Prior to this position she worked for Baron and Budd, P.C. in Dallas and The Carpenter Law Firm in Plano, as well as teaching at a preschool before that.  Stephanie grew up in Plano and graduated from Plano East Senior High in 1993.  She graduated from the University of North Texas in 1998 with a degree in General Studies, focusing on English, Sociology and Psychology.  Stephanie is married with two young sons who enjoy attending hockey games.

Kathy Phillips Administration kphillips@jmlewisandassociates.com

Kathy Phillips joined the firm in December of 2011. Kathy basically keeps the paper moving and the communication flowing within the office.   She is also responsible for assisting Marc whether it is following up with phone calls, creating State or Federal forms, filing, etc.   Before coming to the firm, she was employed with Electronic Data Systems (EDS) as both a Programmer and a Project Manager for 15 years.    Kathy grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio and graduated from the University of Cincinnati in 1985 with a degree in Information Systems.  Currently she lives in Plano with her husband Steve and son Jacob. Their oldest son, Ryan, is currently attending the University of Oklahoma as a Computer Science major.  Kathy enjoys anything pertaining to sports especially                                                                baseball (go Rangers and Reds!)

Linda Roche` Senior Tax Associate lroche@jmlewisandassociates.com

Linda Roche` joined the firm in September of 2012.  Linda is responsible for preparing whatever returns Marc gives to her.  Before she began working for Marc she worked for Omnysis, LLC as a Senior Accountant and before that she worked for McGladrey & Pullen, LLC as an Audit Associate.   Linda was born and raised in Collin County and attended The University of Texas at Dallas where she graduated in 2007 with her Bachelor’s in Accounting and Management Information Systems and completed part of the Graduate Program for Business Administration.  Currently she lives in McKinney with her son Jaseck and enjoys boxing and volunteering and is studying to become an Enrolled Agent.
