I'm sitting at my desk at the office and just kind of drifted off and started thinking of past jobs I had. I was remembering back when I was a stock boy for Jenny Craig back in high school, to working as a construction worker out in the cold in the winter months here in Chicago.

I did these jobs because I had to in order to make money to live. I never even liked those jobs to much; but did them to the best of my ability.

I was always taught if it's worth doing; it's worth doing right.

As I sit here tonight after having to go buy some items for a vacant house we bid on and got; I come to realise I really truly Love my job.

I Love helping people; and Home Stagers really do help those in need of assistance to let go of the past and help them look forward to the future. We just don't go in like a machine and start reorganising the clients home. We talk with them; explain what we need to do to get them and their home in the best possible showing condition so it sells in this down market.

So I just want to thank destiny for leading me to a profession that truly is priceless to me.

Thank you so much,

Brian Bloom

Brian, what exactly is the one thing you love most about it?

For me it has always been about people.  Any position I have ever held, it always was about people.

Like many others here, I feel so lucky to be doing what I LOVE.  It's the best feeling in the world to know you're helping someone move on ... plus we're allowed to be as creative as we like. To be compensated for doing such "fun" work is just the nicest bonus!

Gary~ I believe the single best feeling I get is when were talking with the home owner, they just can't believe that the market turned so bad when they put their home up for sale and you can hear the urgency for your help to sell there home in their voice.

We sit down and comfort them by explaining what we will be doing and let them know they can contact us anytime for any reason and ask us any question for as long as their home is listed. Sandra just has this very soft spoken honest tone to it that after just a few minutes into the consultation they just thank you for being there for them:)

Most of them say the Realtor just came in and looked at their home as a product. We carefully and politely explain to them that they are going to have to have that same mentality. We explain to them that they are going to have to start letting go, if this house is going to sell we have to neutralise it so it appeals to a wider pool of potential buyers. We help them understand that this was a great home and it fit your style, but now it's time to pack up those beautiful memories and get ready to apply them to the new perfect home they will buy and start making new memories there.

Cathy~ We really are in the people business, Home Stagers really need to have great communication skills to comfort the home owner in this stressful time. We are part Artists and part therapists some time.

Maureen~ very, very true! I agree with you 100%

I want to thank everyone for their heart felt comments:)

Thank you

Julie~ Yes! when you wake up in the morning you no longer say is it Friday yet:) When you love what you do, and for us it's helping people, we simply can't get enough. We offer All our clients the opportunity to call, email or visit us if they have any question through out the process.

Patty~ Thank you, I know my stress level has lowered since doing a job I love. I always wanted to have a job that I could help people, fire fighter, policeman, even took classes to become a youth councilor. So now when I go on a consultation I feel that warm feeling inside that lets me know I did something to help someone:)

Thank you all.

Best Wishes
