De-cluttering your work life.  On this cold, rainy fall day I decided that its time to dive into a huge project.  After 10 years in the business I have accumulated a lot of "stuff."   I have always made sure my paper files and documents are all organized and filed / purged according to the boards requirements and of course the tax laws. The one area I have not been extremely diligent in, electronic files.  I have a lot of electronic files, documents, pictures etc.

 

The physical items take up physical space in my office so the purging and organizing is a necessity.  Have you ever taken a good long look at your electronic files?  I have pictures of homes I previewed, listed and sold from 10 years ago.  I have electronic files from 10 years ago too.  It's time to put aside some time and purge the unnecessary electronic clutter.

 

I've already spent most of my morning working on this.  The amount of files now sitting in my trash bin just keeps growing.  Luckily with this purge process I won't burn up my shredder, instead I'll gain precious computer space.   If you haven't made the time to organize and purge your electronic information I would suggest scheduling some time so you don't end up like me.  Best wishes everyone and happy purging!
