I bought the car that Alec Baldwin
drives in the film from the producers
when production had completed.
It's a light blue 1949 Plymouth Special Deluxe.
I restored it and drove it for while before I sold it.

Thanks, Noah. We celebrated his 78th birthday on the 29th of September. We're old friends. That's me on the left with Jerry Lee at a party, at Graceland (Elvis' home), that we threw for Rupert Murdock and the Fox Network back around 1990. I was driving a 1959 Cadillac that night, that I had restored, that Jerry Lee loved. I was talking to him about the car. George Klein, Elvis' pal, was also with us. This pic of us was taken not long after "Great Balls of Fire" had been released.
Jerry Lee is an interesting musician. I have always liked his energy and music.
Did you see the movie and documentary of the making and of about the Keith Richards, Chuck Berry Hail Hail Rock And Roll? No it is not about a hail storm or bad weather David.
I have the extended box set and in it they go in depth about the concert and behind the scenes stuff and how they think way out there Chuck is. I always say that if an artist, musician, actor or any arts related field was not unique then they would be boring.
Anyway they interview different musicians who were around in the day and they interview Little Richard among others and Jerry Lee Lewis was interviewed in the break of a show he was performing. He did not take the interview seriously and came off like he was not being filmed, like a candid talk. It was great. He let it all hang out. I would not like being interviewed by the public if I was a musician, I tend to dislike critics. If you don’t have something good to say then be quiet. We can decide if we like it ourselves.
Pretty interesting box, has in depth information on Chuck, how and where he lives and how he comes off. It really doesn’t matter because you either like the music or you don't. I think Chuck, Jerry Lee, Elvis and many other were unfairly treated in the 50's. Maybe it made them more popular? I just think that America showed how backwards we are only 60 or so years ago.
Enough of my ramble.

I've seen that film, and it's ironic that you mentioned it, Noah. I was reminscing about it late last night and remembered how foul Chuck Berry's been to Keith Richards. Berry has a troubled past, like most great musicians. It's been said that Berry's had problems with the success the Stones had with his music, and the royalty issues. Hence his hostility towards Richards. Here's a clip:
Also he may have ripped off Johnnie Johnson who probably helped write all the classic RnR tunes they cranked out in the 50's. Keith is quoted as saying he felt these tunes were written with a piano and that he thought Johnny B. Goode, Roll Over Beethoven etc should probably credit Johnnie Johnson as a co-writer.
