Halloween Event 2013 - Party being held at City of Katy Dog Park
The City of Katy Texas (Old Katy) will host its annual Howl-A-Ween party for local dogs and dog owners. The Dog Halloween Party will be held at the Katy Dog Park which is located at 5414 Franz Road, Katy Texas. The park is almost directly behind the Katy Branch Library and the parking lot can be used for both facilities. The party is scheduled for Wednesday October 30 2013 starting at 6:00 P.M. The admission fee is a one bag of dog food. All of the food will be given to a local animal shelter. If you or your family wants more information call 281-391-4840 or try the City of Katy’s web site.
I has another recent post about a Howl - O - Ween Halloween event for owners and dogs which is being held at LaCenterra Cinco Ranch.
I wrote about this event last couple of years but I did not get the opportunity to visit the park to enjoy the scary fun.
We were able to put a Santa outfit sort of on our Dog Duke one Christmas. Duke our Schnauzer does not see how any of this stuff is funny as he was at one time a shelter dog and really does not have a good sense of humor or temperament. Duke frankly is a very jealous and persnickety animal.
The Katy Dog Park offers 14 acres of grass, trees, walking path wading pool for dogs only, custom dog showers and special fountains for access by both dog and owners. I believe Katy Dog Park is one of the nicest Dog parks in the whole Houston area. major improvements were made to the dog pond early this year.
