Colorado Springs 2013 Halloween Fun
I just couldn't pass up re-blogging this from Kelly Young. Especially the video of the HAUNTED MINE. I have seen community haunts before, but this one is over the top in my book. Check it out, and if you are in the area, I would recommend visiting the HAUNTED MINE, as it is for a good cause.
If you are new to Colorado Springs Halloween is always an interesting time not only for customers, decorations, haunted houses, races and candy but perhaps most importantly, our weather. Halloween seems to be the noted day that you will hear about "our first snow of the season". Yes, for some reason first snows here and Halloween seem to happen most often on the same day.
Regardless of the weather there are some really fun Colorado Springs Halloween Events coming up soon:
- Boo at the Zoo - October 25 - 27th and October 31st. Opens at 4:00 pm.
- Emma Curtis Hopkins Coffin Races - October 26th. Race starts at noon be early to get a place to see.
- Haunted Mines - October 23 - 27th and October 31 - November 2nd.
- Pumpkin Carving Party - October 26th. Starts at 9:00 am Fountain Creek Nature Center
- Space and Science Fiction Halloween Ball - October 27th starts at 6:30 pm. Space Symposium
Looking for the best places to go trick or treating? There will be blog post and link to it here later this week.
