Nancy, that's too cute. Even our pets need time to adjust to the time change.
My dogs sleep later than my husband, so no worries in the morning. But right now it's just after 4 p.m. and they're staring at me, wondering why I'm still sitting here.
Our neighbor comes to visit every evening at 5:00 - out at the shop - and they can hardly wait to get out there and greet him. Of course, that's also when my husband hands out doggie treats, so they have a double incentive for me to get my coat on and get moving.
And then there's the horse. He just came to live here over the summer, but ever since he got here I've been giving him grain at 6 p.m. Lately, since it's started getting dark, he's pracing around letting me know it's time by the time I go out at 5. If he has to wait until his tummy thinks it's 7 he may tear the fence down to come after me.
Guess I'll start feeding little Red at 5.
LOL Daisy!
I commented to my wife earlier that our CATS were at the back door for dinner, about an hour early. They didn't get the memo, either.
Too cute, Nancy! I, unfortunately forgot to plant the seed in my own brain because I was up an hour earlier than normal! Got a lot of work done though - and let the dogs out too!
Nancy, Thank you for sharing your critter story! A few years ago we had a dog who would look at the clock when it was time for dinner. When the time changed, she would look at the clock then at us as if to ask for an explanation. They sure seem to understand more than we give them credit.
That internal clock just can't be turned off. I found I could only sleep in an extra 20 minutes. Bummer. I wanted a whole hour.
So true Debbie! And then last night I was wondering why I was getting so sleepy so "early". LOL
