R U Like Famous Cause I've Never Heard Of You?

Gary, I have never heard of many of the "stars".  Perhaps their fame is in their own mind, just a thought. 

Gary it reminds me of the saying "he is a legend in his own mind".

Well said Gary, what's most important is the people you're helping. Have we ever seen an ad where a surgeon says I've done 300 successful surgeries this year, nope! I might want to know how much experience he has when I'm sitting in front of him alone in his office, but adversiting like that wouldn't get my attention. I'd be more attracted to something that connects with me, makes me feel like I'm in good hands and that the people helping me CARE.

OH darn I thought I was famous. LOL

Gary~ I really love this post...... "I never get how others know they are better than others without competing in a competition, and even then it can be confusing when the competition is subjective versus definitive...I feel actions are always better then words, especially when you're bragging

Too funny really.  It is sad when people in all walks of life are overly self important.

I like a little fame but I'm with you on wanting people who actually care and like me.  What's life without true friends?

Gary, Better to hope for a little recognition with client fans maybe but not to be famous. Oh, the expectations to be met! Prefer the love and acceptance of my family.

Gary, I met with a seller once who asked how long I'd been in the business because he'd never seen one of my signs. Now, we're a community of 35,000 homes. So it's easy to see why he's never seen my sign. He found out later, I was the best dang agent around. Because as you said, I cared about him. That really does distinguish one agent over another.

Gary, I think you hit the nail on the head.  Sometimes people are notorious rather than famous!

I prefer to be the plain ol' ordinary me!

I am not better than anyone else nor am I worse.

Gary, We are all different and have different skills. The client needs to check out the agent carefully and see if it is a good match.

SOme agents spend 40% of their income on super-marketing themselves and walk away with a rather low net.  Others provide exceptional service and gain loyal customers through word of mouth for a job well done.

Giving exceptional service is a low cost investment with a high potential yield.
