My first and only Thanksgivikah

I am not a happy camper.  Chanukah starts the evening before Thanksgiving. I usually start my Chanukah shopping after Thanksgiving but not this year.  I am getting ready.  This Chanukah elf is on the job.  That is my nickname because I married out.   My household is Jewish but my inlaws is not.  So my mother in law is the Christmas elf and I am the Chanukah elf.

It might change my Thanksgiving menu.   It could be a time for deep fried turkey.  But that scares me.  I think fire hazard.   So I will just roast mine.

Could be time for sweet potato lakhes...  That is to much fried food on a already heavy meal.  I will just mash mine and put pecans on it.

I could make normal latkes.   Too heavy and to intence on the already busy kitchen.

So what am I planning to do to celebrate this first and only Thanksgivikah in my life?

I will light the menorah with two candles on it!.

I will hand out deride and gelt bags.  '

We will sing some Chanukah songs.

Perhaps we will put cranberry sauce on our latkes.  That sounds good.

I think I will leave my menu the same and make my latkes on Wed.

What are you doing for Thanksgivikah?
