San Antonio Homes For Sale in Parklands
Parklands is a small community of about one-hundred thirty two homes just north of Mainland Road between Bandera and Tezel. It's easy to miss, which is a good thing if you are looking to buy a home in an area that has one entrance and exit point. No through traffic, and it's not a gated community. @parklands
My client purchased a home in Parklands last month. Here are things he liked about the area:
- Large lots, several backing to greenbelts or cleared easements, minimum .25 acre with several near .50 acre
- Reasonable HOA Fees (currently less than $200 annually per lot)
- Rolling hills and open space does make the area seem park like
- Good school district
Most homes in Parklands were built by Medallion homes in the early 2000's. The distance between homes does separate this community from more recently developed communities. Although not estate sized lots, I think most will appreciate the ample lot sizes.
Three and four bedroom homes are the norm in Parklands. Interior size is in the 2,400 to 2,700.
During the past year ten homes have been sold in the community or about a 7.5% turnover rate. Prices for sold homes ranged from about $86 per square foot to almost $109 per square foot. Median sales price for the past twelve months was $247,500.
Parklands is in the Northside Independent School District. Today Carson Elementary, Stevenson Middle, and Marshall High are the schools to which students in the area are assigned.
