Rookie Realtor

By
Real Estate Agent with Luke Team Real Estate
Hello, I am a newer Realtor (12-01-2005) in the Minneapolis area and I was hoping to get some help on expired listings. I currently work them by sending or droping off a letter, I have tried to call some, but most are on the do not call list. If anyone has any ideas on this or anything I can do to get my carrer off the ground, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.

Dude....one rookie realtor to another....hand written letters.  Break out your trusty old pen and put it to work.  Then, find some way to make the letter stand out from the other junk mail.  We use wax seals.

Knock on doors.  If you see them face to face your chances of listing will increase.  Good luck.

Brad, I am a mortgage professional by trade, but I service 2 huge national chain real estate offices in Michigan.  (over 200 agents) so I am always on the look out to help them grow their business....more money for them means more money for me.  I have attended hundreds of seminars geared toward realtors and have picked up some great stuff in the meantime that has helped some of my realtors...especially with expired listings...send me an email at joshua.w.plummer@flagstar.com and we can discuss further...I have some great cd's and dvd's I can burn and send you if you like.

Face to face is best. If your area is like ours, every realtor in town is direct mail marketing the expireds. Some with success, some not, but those realtors I see getting the most listings are either the ones doing something unique and different in their direct mail piece or getting face to face.  Keep at it, don't get discouraged, learn from every encounter. The more you do, the more you get. Good luck.
