Seniors Relo llc is proud to present Ms. Amy Garcia of Denver, Colorado as the December winner of Senior Queen for a Day. Senior Relo llc created Senior Queen for a Day inspired by the hit television series, Queen for a Day, which aired from 1945 to 1964. Participants between the age of 70 and 85 years old submitted their life story, in letter format and included their tales of life, social contributions, volunteer works, adventures and family. However, unlike the original television series, which selected a winner by applause levels, The Senior Queen for a Day was selected by a panel of judges. Once selected, the Queen is lavished with gifts and a full day of royal treatment.
December Queen, Ms. Amy Garcia was born and raised in Denver, Colorado. She attended West High School, and then worked as a hair stylist for many years. She and her husband Joe Garcia have two children, whom she proudly sent to college with her hard work and ambition. Ms. Garcia is an active member of Thrive Church and volunteers in several senior living communities, as well as Thornton Aglow, a Christian Ministry for women. She is also a two time cancer survivor.
Ms. Garcia’s the “Senior Queen for a Day” began her day at her home, at which, the Queen and five of her friends were picked in a gorgeous white stretch limousine, compliments of Sunset Limousine. Queen Amy and her friends then proceeded to an elegant lunch at Emeritus Senior Living at Green Mountain. It was a luncheon fit for a king and of course our queen. The Queen was then chauffeured to Posh the Salon where she received a full beauty treatment from Master Stylist, Elizabeth DiGiorgio. The Queen was then whisked away to Cherry Creek North where she enjoyed a pedicure from Posh Nails and a shopping spree at Ann Taylor. Queen Amy and her friends concluded the day with a delicious dinner at the Cherry Creek Grill. During her dinner she received more gifts including a Starbuck gift card and a gift certificated to the luxury accommodations at the Ameristar Resort and Casino. The Queen and her court were then retuned to her home by Sunset Limousine. It was Day fit for a Queen !!
