Shocking pictures reveal historic drought conditions at Folsom Lake
My husband and I and our 2 chihuahuas went on a 2 hour hike down from Beal's Point in Granite Bay on Jan 18th 2014. You can see the historic low levels of water near Folsom Dam. We were saddened and shocked at the dismal scenery. Check out the video we shot for great panoramic views of the area.
The lake bottom reveled large bolders and rock formations.
Historic low levels of water at Folsom Lake brought a sombering reality of our drought situation.
We saw some old artifacts from the 1940's town that was submerged long ago.
You could see acres of land drying out in the seasonablly high record temporatures. Remebering when we saw ducks and geese congregating near the shores where they are now scattered in the tiny ponds left for them.
The 3 tiny dots to the left are the boats that are looking for the plane reckage from the 1965 plane crash.
