Some much needed money is being sent to help pay for measures taken during record or near-record snowfall at the beginning of last month.
Many areas in Southeastern Wisconsin saw record amounts of the fluffy white stuff.
Wisconsin Emergency Management spokeswoman Lori Getter says this is only the third time the state will receive federal money for snowfall.
Reports say money will go to Dane, Dodge, Green, Jefferson, Milwaukee, Rock, Walworth, and Washington counties.
The governor's office says those counties got more than a foot of snow on February 5th and 6th.
There was a massive traffic backup on Interstate 39-90 between Madison and Janesville which the National Guard responded to and helped stranded motorists.
I am sure many of us are ready for Spring!
