Albemarle County Real Estate Market Report 2013 Year End

In a previous post we examined what happened in the Greater Charlottesville Real Estate Market during 2013.  Now lets see what happened in the individual areas of the broader market.

This post will focus on the Albemarle County Real Estate Market, and how 2013 compared with 2014.

As you can see the total sales of Albemarle County homes for the year were up over 2012, showing a dip in closed sales for the last two months of the year.  This is consistent with the drop in sales activity during the government shut down and also the holiday season.

Another positive note is the increase in median sale price.

And finally, we can see that homes were on the market for a shorter time during 2013.

All of this is good news for Albemarle home sales and shows that the Albemarle County Real Estate Market is trending in the right direction.

If you would like to know how this relates to either selling your Albemarle County home or buying a new home in Central Virginia, I would be happy to talk with you.
