Home Staging Advice that Google Can't Provide

We live in a world of technology. Information is at the tip of our fingers with laptops, smart phones and tablets. Anyone can look up anything on the internet. You can Google "how to make pineapple upside down cake" "How do you curl your hair" or "how to make a bench out of an old dresser" (That's a pretty cool one DIYers). You could even look up home staging tips and advice. So why should you hire a home stager when you could just look up stuff? Because there is some home staging advice that Google can't provide...

Fresh Perspective
Google can't provide a fresh perspective of your home. It can't walk in there for the very first time and give you an honest opinion on what your potential buyers are going to say. You can try to objectively judge your home, but when you have an emotional attachment to it, that's going to be hard. A home stager has no emotional attachment and only one goal in mind: make your home look its most presentable so it sells faster.

TimeHome Staging Advice that Google Can't Provide
Every home staging consultation is different than the last. Some homes need a little work and some need a lot. With a busy schedule of work, kids, family, life in general, it's going to be tough finding the time to figure out everything that needs to get done and actually get it accomplished. A Montgomery County PA home stager like Six Twenty Designs is trained to see the perceived negatives and has the resources to get everything needed in a short amount of time. We do this for a living, we've got it down to a science.

Specific Advice Pertaining to your Home
As just stated, every home staging consultation we do is different. That's because every house is different. Some advice that you find online like de-cluttering or re-arranging your furniture can be helpful, but how do you apply it to your space? How do you arrange your furniture in a pleasing way? How much should you de-clutter? A good home stager knows what needs to be done and can apply the rules to your space.
Home Staging advice that Google Can't Provide

Google is a good place to get ideas, but there is some home staging advice that Google can't provide you with. That's why it's best to hire a home stager who knows what to do and how to do it.

If you're serious about selling your home quickly and for top dollar, contact Six Twenty Designs to book your home staging consultation today.

Are you suggesting that Google won't send a person to your home to get a real perspective?  A home seller cannot beat the objective perspective of a seasoned home stager.

Google is a great place to find home stagers in your area who advertise online and are indexed by Google.

THAT'S IT!!!

I think you can get some good ideas for do it yourself on blog post like Active Rain, but your right each home is unique and needs a special approach.  I really think it is so important that you need a pro to help you.

Until google sends the drones in to map out the interior, you're absolutely right.  Every home is different and requires a stagers perspective & expertise.

You're right Suzanne, Google only provides Generic staging advice ... not very helpful when a seller needs to know what to do to prepare THEIR home for the market.

Good morning Suzanne. The sale of a home is much too important to make the wrong decisions. Having someone like yourself to stage a some properly is a good investment.

Hi Maureen! Google = generic!

Joe I know some sellers who would consider cutting corners by not using a home stager but it will only come back to bite them in the end.

It takes that personal touch to know what to do. Plus Google still doesn't have a nose or the other senses that go with good staging.

Every home and homeowner is different. Photos from the internet may help, but there's nothing like a professional being there in person and giving their advice and suggestions!

Learning to stage by google is like watching a video to cut your own hair.  You may lose some hair but the finished product may not be want you thought it would be!

There are lots of things that Google can’t provide. So we shouldn’t rely everything to Google. Maybe Google has brain but it doesn’t have a sense, just like Debbie said.

Great topic Suzanne!
