SOLD - Aircraft Hangar at Madeline Island Airport
It's not often that we list and sell an aircraft hangar, but we're very proud of this one. Hangar number eight at the Madeline Island Airport, located at 777 Airport Drive, LaPointe, Wisconsin is now sold.
One of our clients (who purchased a waterfront home on Madeline Island late last autumn) decided he'd like to have a hangar for his private plane, and so this hangar was a perfect addition for him. Quite a few of our summer homeowners on Madeline Island are also private pilots.
The FAA Identifier for the Madeline Island Airport, also known as Major Gilbert Field, is 4R5. The airport is just over a mile from downtown LaPointe and it is the only airport in the Apostle Islands with instrument procedures. Our airport features a 3000 foot asphalt runway and a number of privately owned/leased hangars.
Aircraft hangars at the Madeline Island Airport are built upon leasehold parcels, leased from the Town of LaPointe. Some of these hangars are quite large and luxurious, with heated floors and ample additional storage for vehicles and tools.
