What's the Word Wednesday? Winter

By

Winter this year is now a 4 letter word and it can be any 4 letter word you are comfortable with that means a really rotten, no good, very bad season.   When my kids were little we would read Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day.  It's a really cute children's book and while there was nothing cute about this winter, it was certainly terrible horrible, no good and very bad.

Even when the weather warmed, walking the dog necessitated him getting a bath because he would come home covered in salt and dirt from all of the melted snow and mud.   Giving a dog a bath is like wrestling an alligator and between the walk and the bath, frankly I'm ready for nap.

We've been pretty spoiled these past few years when winter, while gray, was not all that cold and certainly, we've not had this much snow in a very long time.    Almost everyone I know is getting a little cranky except for those few annoying people who are still rejoicing every time the weatherman says that other four letter word, snow.

We are 8 days to spring with no end in sight for this winter.  So, today the word is winter, or whatever expletive you choose.

Enjoy the day!

Colorado is one of those places where the weather changes from one day to the next. We had snow yesterday and today it's in the 50s

We've been getting hints of spring and I am so ready.  I live in the south for Pete's sake, it's not even supposed to snow here.  Not only did we have snow this winter, we also had a flipping ice storm.  Tonight we're having a danged wind storm.  Oh and it's getting down to freezing A-gain.  yes, winter is a four letter word this year for sure.

Donna, it's been sort of like that here as well.   Yesterday 61, today, 23!

Tammy, I can't remember a worse winter here either!

Bliz, I don't have snowdrops but I see the tops of my daffodils poking through.

Tim, I knew one of you oddly cheerful winter people would visit me!

It has been crazy back there...I am thankful mother nature waited until I left to bring that kind of winter, but Spring's on the way, hope you see it sooner rather than later.
