A group of Google engineers with new position job offers relocating to Silicon Valley, Calif. recently asked for help with searching for homes to potentially buy when they arrived.
As my family’s helped families buy and sell homes in Silicon Valley for over 40 years in San Jose, Cupertino, Santa Clara, and more, so I’m happy to share my experience and help relocation home buyers from Taiwan, India and Russia explore their options.
In Silicon Valley, many home buyers choose neighborhoods based on budget, schools and commute times. If a buyer doesn't need certain schools, there are more affordable options for housing. However, homes with good commutes to places like Google, Yahoo and Apple remain at a premium.
