Create Pinterest Boards for your Favorite Places

The popularity of Pinterest as made this a mandatory site for social networking. If you are not on Pinterest, you are missing daily opportunities to increase your network of contacts. I have over 3,000 followers on Pinterest and over 1,000 of my followers follow all of my boards. That means that I can create a new Pinterest board with any title and automatically have over 1,000 followers.

Like other social media efforts, you will want to share interests that may be in common with others. Some of the easy kinds of boards to create are boards on your favorite places. A favorite place could include your home town, a travel destination, a museum or gardens.

For example, Dolores and I love to visit Colonial Williamsburg in Virginia and try to visit the area several times each year. So, I have a Colonial Williamsburg board on Pinterest.  By the way, you can share Pinterest boards with other pinners. I share all of my boards with Dolores and share some of my boards with others.

Happy pinning!  Please follow some or all of my Pinterest boards.

I just posted this photograph on my Imagination board on Pinterest. This board has over 2,100 followers.

You got the right Roy. The submit a post with a blog link to harvest, pin the photos wins in SEO ways way way beyond the pretty picture. Shake and bake, one more important platform to not neglect in the round robin you need to be doing daily. Gidy up.

Roy, I became OBSESSED with Pinterest earlier this year. As I got busy again in real estate, I had to back off a bit, but what is wonderful is that the "P" above our blogposts gives us the opportunity to pin our photos on our blogs right away. Still learning how to navigate, but I have tried to remember to add my lakehomesatfishhawk.com website onto all of my descriptions of my photos.

Happy Pinning Indeed! (I am now a follower of Imagination).

Roy,

Thanks for the tip of posting your favorite places pictures on Pinterest. I have posted stuff there but frankly nothing has come of it at all.

Roy - I did this for my personal Pinterest, which I haven't gotten around to promoting on AR. My favorite place is South Carolina and it's always a treat to see what others have pinned and remind myself of the great memories made there. But, in the ongoing (perhaps futile!) effort to keep personal and professional separate, I've also got RISMedia's Pinterest here - check it out!

Thanks, Suzanne, for sharing the Pinterest link. Real estate professionals should have boards that will be of interest to home owners and home buyers. For example, a board on window treatments would interest new home buyers.

Pinterest if free so there is no reason not to join. If nothing else, use Pinterest to search for recipes.

Rick:  Create local boards. For example, you could have a restaurants board for your local resturants. Or, you could have a board with pictures you take of a local team.
