When you decide to put your house on the market, one of the first things you want to do to attract buyers is touch up the curb appeal of your home. The curb appeal is the first thing buyers see of the property and you know what they say, “you only get one chance to make a first impression.” Here are a couple of ideas of things to do to improve the curb appeal of your home.
Fresh Paint – A fresh coat of paint can make a house look brand new. You don’t have to paint the whole house, maybe just freshen up the front door or the trim.
Pressure Washing – This could have a similar effect as painting. A nice clean exterior of the home looks new and inviting. And if your driveway is concrete don’t forget to pressure wash it too along with any patios and porches.
Landscaping – You should be looking over the landscaping weekly, especially if it’s the time of year where the grass and plants are growing quickly. Make sure to keep the grass cut and the bushes trimmed and if you have mulch make sure to replace it as needed.
Windows – This is a small but important detail that many people don’t often think of. When cleaning your windows be sure to clean the entire window, inside and out. You will be surprised the difference clean windows can make.
