Would you Buy That House in a DOWN MARKET?
Hey Buyers! Perhaps the fear of rising interest rates are motivating your decisions, but here's some good advice in our current seller's market. The Puget Sound is experiencing this very thing so be sure to ask the question before signing.
Would you Buy That House in a DOWN MARKET?
When in a Seller's market, Buyers are writing on everything just to be able to get a home.
Would you purposely go out and look for a home that backs to a six-lane busy street?
Would you purposely go out and look for a home that has a transformer and power lines directly behind the house?
Would you purposely go out and buy a home, pay top dollar that needs $10,000 worth of work done on it?
In this frenzied Seller's market, Sellers are holding the cards and listing homes needing work, commanding top dollar and most often, getting it.
Buyers need to be reminded - homes less desirable will sell in a strong Seller's market, but down the road when the home needs to be sold, will it STILL be so desirable? Or, will the home need to be sold at a discount due to location?
