Help A Vet Get A Property

Chicago-land real estate professional Noah Seidenberg suggests helping a vet purchase a home. The best gift that a real estate professional can offer a veteran is the guidance though the home purchase process. Home ownership will very likely improve the quality of life of that family for generations.

I got a call about 6 months ago from a young man asking about condos in Evanston IL. I asked him to get pre-approved and what he was looking for. He said he was not quite ready yet but wanted to get an idea of prices and what is available in the area. I set up an MLS search for him and he viewed it but did not make a move until now.

We met a couple of days ago and in conversation he told me he was in action but done with his tour now and out of the military. He is going to school and working full time. Just out of coincidence we found the right property, a Fannie Mae Homepath Foreclosure and are writing it up today.

I have a special feeling by the fact that I get to do this today. He is a very nice and easy going person and has a VA loan. It just worked out this way and he does not think it is a big deal but I do.

Happy Memorial Day to every one, Peace and Love to you and your families and loved ones.

Good for Noah!  Helping our Veterans buy a home is the least we can do for them.

Roy, I've got one closing before June 4th that is for a vet. He's also the one whose son is buried up at Fishhawk Cemetery and they've never lived in this area. Coming home...so-to-speak.

They're pretty sticky about home inspections, though--a word to the wise.
