Kathleen,  I really could not believe that the pond and lake actually had any fish other than little bluegill, but was I sure surprised!!!!  Thank you for your kind words.

Leolinda, you are correct the first two are largemouth bass!

Myrl, I normally fish for the bass with spinner bait so there is no messy worms to deal with!  ^_~  

I can understand your objection to live bait, but do you have any objections to dead bait?  When our cat lays its lifeless prey (mice and chipmunks) on the front porch I have been known to let those stew for a couple of days and put them on a hook and the catfish love them?  You can catch some pretty bigs ones using bait like that!  What do you think, Myrl?  I always release the fish I catch, but I do love eating fish at restaurants.

I bet you are a great cook with fish, and I hope you post some recipes as I generally just broil fish prepared at home.

Kathleen, I don't know how much those bigger catfish and largemouth bass weigh but my arm does collapse when I hold the fish out there while Sharon or the girls are trying to get their cell phone camera ready to take a picture.  Those suckers are heavy!!!!  My forearm and wrist are just writhing in pain thinking about them!  ^_~
