Greetings, I have comprised a list of fun parks around Eugene, Springfield and surrounding areas for you and your kids to visit. We even have included some “MOM REVIEWS” from our local moms. Enjoy the sun and make sure to bring sunscreen!
RiverPlay Discovery Village Playground
210 Cheshire Avenue, Eugene
This one-of-a-kind playground was designed by the Eugene community to bring children in touch with Eugene ’s unique history and culture through creative play. Discovery Village was designed to capture the character of our local region. Each play element relates to something special about Eugene’s places and people.
mom review:
This park is really amazing & so super fun…HOWEVER, you really have to keep an eye on your kids, there are lots of places to hide & it’s close enough to the bike path that kiddos can ‘escape’ & be there in no time (unfortunately, i know this first hand…my son was a runner & he made it to the bike path before i even knew he was gone…) but if you’re aware of where they are, it’s a really incredible park… the sand area is awesome & the water features are great!
Bethel Community Park
5700 Babe Ruth Lane,Eugene
Play structures, sand play area, bark play area, public art, restroom, shelter, skatepark, baseball/softball, basketball, half court
mom review: this is my neighborhood park & one of the reasons we decided to buy our house… it’s perfect for kids of all ages with a sand area & a bark area…during the summer there is a water feature that kids love…there are also benches all over so a mom who needs a break can rest & still see what’s going on (or sit & read a book … moms from all over town bring their kiddos to play here…we love love, love it
