Aloha Airlines Shuts Down
It was announced without warning yesterday that Aloha Airlines is terminating passenger operations effective today, March 31. According to a short message on their web site, passengers holding tickets will need to get in line with other creditors in bankrupcy court or file a claim with their credit card company. This development means travel between the islands will likely get more expensive and harder to come by. The shutdown of ferry service by activists and Aloha by bankrupcy leaves only Hawaiian Airlines and the relatively new & much smaller Go Airlines are the only major means of travel.
