Happy Facebook Fridays, Rainers!

Success is defined however we interpret it! That makes me a very successful person. Why? Because each week I surf the Web and am fortunate to find excellent FB tips, that I in-turn share with you, in the hope you will use them to improve your Facebook presence. Some have, do, and will again...others will not...it is the nature of social media I suppose.

Do you want to share in my success? Put your FB Fan Page to the test this week by tweaking, changing, and using it to reach consumers in your local area. Whether it is establishing FB photo albums, using videos in your Facebook marketing, or creating a new contest to gain more local readers...I am sure you can find a nugget in the list this week.

As a quick reminder, when you visit a Facebook Fan Page (like the 5 listed above) make sure to LIKE their fan page from your personal page or the LIKE Counter on their page will not increase. Then go back and LIKE it and comment from your Fan Page so they have an easy way to track back and reciprocate on your Fan Page.

I watch all movies with captions on. It did take getting used to at first, but now it is near mandatory for my enjoyment. You would be surprised how much movie detail is in the words that people miss because of another noise

Have added a FB home search feature in Apps from N Play which is very reasonable. They also set it up for you very quickly & send further instructions. Haven't had any real activity but wanted to change the App pictures to seem more noticeable & inviting. Changed those default photos finally which was a big hassle it seems!

Lyn: I love the sound of the new search app you added to your FB page. I will need to go visit. BTW...got you on the list for next Friday.

Cathy: It depends on the type of contest...I did one a few years ago where I gave away a grill and all the accessories to the person who answered the most trivia questions right. Another time I gave away a $100 gift card to the person who came the closest to guessing the number of M&Ms in a large jar. In both instances, they needed to LIKE my page and leave their "guess" in the comments to qualify. Let your imagination run wild.
