It's Ba-a-a-ck.....  Step into the forest at the Fairview Tree Farm in Shelton CT and experience some bone-chilling fright......

It's that time again to be frightened by ghoulish creatures and scream to your heart's content; that is, if you are not faint of heart.

The 18th Annual Haunted Hayride at Fairview Tree Farm, Shelton CT returns on Friday night, October 3, 2014.

In addition to its traditional hayride, the farm has expanded its Halloween season 'entertainment' by opening the NEW Melonhead Revenge Walking Trail, a bone chilling trail with over 30 scary creatures waiting to age you a few years.

The haunted hayrides will run as follows and no reservations are necessary.

October 3, 4, 10, 11, 17, 18, 24 and 25.

Time: 7 - 10 p.m..  (The parking lot closes at 10 p.m. sharp)

This year, there will be a BONUS CHARITY NIGHT.

Sunday, October 12.  ALL proceeds will go to charity.

Admission is $16 each.

It is suitable for families but age 7 and above is recommended. It may be too intense for younger children.

Hitch a ride on a haywagon, hold on tight, and make your way 1-1/2 MILES through the forest of fears and experience creepy characters and eerie scenes designed to frighten young and old alike.

Be prepared for visuals and sound effects that might will make you scream or at the very least catch you offguard and make you jump out of your seat -- or off your hay bale. (Been there....done that!)

The haunted hayride, fun and exciting as it is, is not for the faint of heart or for very small children. Freaky monsters and ghoulish characters will come right up to and sometimes into the haywagon and do their scary stuff.

The NEW Melonhead Revenge Walking Trail is approximately 1/2 miles long and NO ONE under 12 years of age will be admitted to the walk of doom.  Trail tickets are $15 each.

Dates of Operation:

October 3, 4, 10, 11, 12, 17, 18, 19, 24, 25 and 26.

Time: 7 - 10 p.m.

***Combo tickets for the hayride and trail are $26 each. Please visit Legends of Fear Haunted Walking Trail Shelton CT to verify pricing and schedules. ***

.

Don't be ‘scared' away by the traditionally long line to get on one of many haywagons.  Time passes quickly when you're with friends ‘fiends'.

A full concession stand will be on-site with hot dogs, popcorn, candy, soda, hot chocolate and all that good stuff.

The Fairview Tree Farm is located on 484 Walnut Tree Hill Rd., Shelton, CT 203-944-9090

Barbara I imagine the kids really like the haunted hayride, as for me I like a hayride but ghost free :)

George -- The first time I went to this hayride I was literally frightened off my hay bale because there was a 'creature' who very unexpectedly came after me from behind on the wagon. You would have gotten a good laugh seeing me.

Love this time of year, we actually went on a hayride last year. Everyone else on the ride as under 15. It was a blast.

Make it a great week!

Joe -- It's the most fun with kids.... especially those who have never had the experience.
