Early Learning Coalition

If you have a child under the age of five in St. Johns County, The Early Learning Coalition can help point you in the right direction.   I've volunteered for a number of events for the ELC and Landon Homes supports the work done by this great local group.

The organizations Mission Statement is “To lead and support the early learning community in building the best foundation for children birth to five.”

Here is how they can help St. Johns County families:

  1. Research and refer quality childcare that is the right match for your family.  They may even be able to provide financial assistance.ELC
  2. ELC will help you find the best FREE Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten for your 4-year old, regardless of your income.
  3. ELC will help you find out if you meet the requirements to enroll your child in the School Readiness Program.  These programs are designed to increase your child’s chances for success in school.

A small staff with a large volunteer base runs this beneficial organization. If you are interested in more information, visit elcnorthflorida.org.
