Last week, our long-awaited permits were approved and construction resumed on the building that is going to hold two retail locations. This poor building in Historic Downtown Chandler had been vacant and neglected for years. Since June, we have been working on bring it back to life. With the final permit approval, and construction resumed, we have seen much progress this past week including cutting openings in the brick to add windows in the back and front of the building to open it up. The building was like a cave inside without windows and these windows will add such a great benefit and fit more in with the charming retail shop feel of the Downtown Chandler Square.
Also, the digging for the connections for the new fire sprinklers has taken place. Although the back courtyard is now completely torn up, it is oh so exciting as these fire sprinklers are required in order for us to receive the Certificate Of Occupancy.
The building is going to be beautiful when it is finished (hopefully another five weeks), and we will have transformed it into two retail spaces with one available for lease. Those of you who frequent the Downtown Chandler Square may have seen the transformations happening so far on the building.
The available space is a 1200 Square Foot retail space with 22 frontage feet, two upgraded ADA bathrooms, separate AC and Heat, roll-up door, and shared use of the 1500 square foot courtyard.
This space is great for shops such as Juice Bar, Antique Shop, Old Time Candy Shop, Hobby Shop, Candle Shop and more.
