No Fat Realtors ? (blast from the past)

---------------------------------------------------------------------

I got an unusual phone call from a woman today.

She told me that her agent was a

"fat faced, overweight, real estate agent whose car

smelled like a bucket of fried chicken and had more

crap on the floorboard than the city land fill".

She wants to teminate her listing agreement

because her agent is "sloppy and fat".

Hmmm...not good !

She went on to tell me that the agent waddled like a duck

and exceeded the weight and balance restrictions for her

vehicle.

She said that the agent was so fat that she needed a

commercial vehicle license to chauffer because the car

exceeded 25 thousand pounds.

What ???

She was blowing off steam and expressing in her own lurid

manner that she didn't want to do business with a

"fat-faced, loud mouthed, overweight, pot bellied"

agent because she was "embarrassing" her.

Is it right for your customer or client to act that way ?

I told her that she can't terminate the agreement even if

her agent is an obnoxious, fat slob as long as the

agent's doing her job in keeping with the laws governed by

our state's real estate commission.

Would you hang up on this client, correct her, take

the client's listing agreement after the

listing agreement with her agent terminates or

expires, or would you just

listen to her and say nothing ?

I listened and politely referred

her to another broker !

By the way, the "sloppy" agent didn't work for us.

Whew, what a mean lady - one thing to not be happy with service and want to vent, but to blast someone like that is just immature and petty.  I'd explain to her how things work, and if she wanted my help AFTER she no longer had agency representation, I'd invite her to call me.

Sorry would probably walk away from this one. Just dropped one because was tired of the daily calls. Listed with another agent. He lasted 2 weeks.

She was miffed because the agent was obstinate and loud with her, Hannah.

Some are really obnoxious, Bill. Glad you sought resolution to that "crisis".
