As the holidays approach and the festivities increase there are numerous events taking place in the runup to the end of the year. The Santa Cruz Holiday Lights Train is one such event occuring this weekend, December 7th and many other weekends through December.
The Holiday Lights Train is a staple of the winter events in Santa Cruz as the train winds its way from the beach in Santa Cruz up to the mountains of Felton. Along the way the train passes many of the historic Victorian homes that line Chestnut street as residents put forth their best holiday efforts with light decorations. The Holiday Train is a great opportunity to take your family out to enjoy the cool winter weather and experience one of the unique events that Santa Cruz has to offer. The cost for the train ride will run between $22 for children and $28 for adults. To find out more about the Holiday Train and the other fun activities that can be had at Roaring Camp railroads check out their website.
Another spectacular event is the Music for the Feast of Christmas concert held at Holy Cross Church on High Street in Santa Cruz. The concert features the world renowned Cabrillo Symphonic Chorus and Brass as they lead the audience in several sing-along carols and their own amazing choral selections.
